Annie, from the blog Birdlike is hosting a Mood Board party. The goal is to design a moodboard using the Juvenile Satin Bower Bird as inspiration. This bird is a beautiful brown with touches of apple green, teal and bright blue eyes. Check him out...

I thought it would be a fun challenge to design a room around him. I have never been inspired by a bird.

This project was a lot of fun. I imagined the bird to be a "him," which inspired a very masculine design. Stop over at Birdlike and check out the other mood boards, it is always fun to see how a source of inspiration can inspire so many different concepts.
What do you think? How would you design your mood board using the Juvenile Satin Bower Bird as inspiration?

Hi Elizabeth! Thank you SO much for joining the party, and I love your ideas. That sofa is such an elegant style and color, it captured the dove gray of the wing feathers perfectly, and the rug is perfect for the pattern on the bird's stomach!!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what you do at the next party!
Great board, great idea. Loving those side chairs. And the rug. And the green paisley pillow :)
ReplyDeleteThis mood board is great, I can see your inspiration in your selections.
ReplyDeleteElizabeth, your mood board looks great! Would love to have that rug. Could you share the source?
ReplyDeleteHi Elizabeth! Thanks so much for stopping by! You have a beautiful blog. I have been working long hours, so I could just sink into that chair right now and fall asleep! Great mood board!
