Painted Graphic Floors
We often don't think of painting or stenciling our floors. Floors, like ceilings, sometimes get neglected in the design process. Sure, we think of traditional fixes like; adding new floors, but those can be expensive. Once again, paint to the rescue for an inexpensive fix to create a bold, new statement.

Traditionally, I think of painted floors being used in a cottage style home. However, these images show the diversity in which painted floors can be used. They work across the board, whether your space be modern, whimsical, traditional, or cottage. Painted floors have a place in them all.

Ohhhh it is such a bold move...but they make a total statement!! I loovveee those stripes in the first photo. I still can't decide if I'm brave enough to do it though!

ReplyDeleteIf I had plans to refinish or replace the floors down the road anyway, I'd certainly try it. What do you have to lose? The last two are my favorites.
ReplyDeleteSo cute. I read an article a couple weeks ago about painting the floor & I was so enamored! I think it would be really hard though -- and what if you messed up! Definitely a job for my husband because I am just not that meticulous.
