I like these in the right setting. Probably not in the bedroom though. :)
ReplyDeleteAs someone who had to grow up around the real ones, I am mixed on this one. I think BAM for the patterned ones.
ReplyDeleteI would say BAM. Love them all.
ReplyDeletei am going to be the first to slam it. oh well... someone has to. i think they can look fun and cool, but frankly, i am a little over them.
ReplyDeleteI love them in theory but I agree with Cassie- I'm kind of getting sick of them- they are everywhere!!! That being said, I give them a BAM!
ReplyDeleteVery fun series! I'm passing along the Versatile Blogger Award to you- see my post for details :)
I like it... but it has to fit the room! Otherwise it looks so cheesy and awful!
ReplyDeleteDefinately a BAM. But maybe Sham for the adorned ones.
ReplyDeleteLove it love it love it! But that just may be the Texan in me talking...
ReplyDeleteComplete BAM! For all of them. My husband is an avid hunter so (unfortunately) we do have real ones in our home. It took years of adjusting- but I'm almost there! :) I have several faux ones to merge our styles somewhat. Love!
ReplyDeleteSLAM in a white or patterned paint. I LOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteBut BAM if your gonna paint it like it's a real dear- tacky!
I remember the first time I saw this trend & I thought, "What in the name of corn-on-the-cob?". I've hated it ever since. For me it's a SLAM. And what a cute idea for a post. Thanks for popping over to see my thrift store chair.
ReplyDeleteWarmly, Michelle
I love this series! I'm gonna go with a semi-bam. It depends on the room but it usually looks good. I do have to fully slam real ones.
ReplyDeleteI'm gonna have to disagree with mostly everyone and say it's a slam. I am SO OVER faux taxidermy. I do agree that it can work in the right room, and I occasionally see faux taxidermy that I like BUT I just think it's time to move on from it.

I like this look and it's BAM for me!!
ReplyDeleteI am going to vote BAM!! I would NEVER put real taxidermy in my house, but the faux ones... painted, fabric covered {which I am in LOVE with}, or natural looking are all amazing!!

BAM BAM BAM!! I love them, and just wish they were not so expensive :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a BAM! for me--I'm only just warming up to the real thing. This is a great alternative!
ReplyDeleteCatherine
I kind of like it. Very cottagey and homey to me
ReplyDeleteSLAM! I am so surprised that most people thinks it's a BAM!!!
ReplyDeleteLove this series too! Keep them coming!
TOTAL SLAM!Faux or not I hate taxidermy! But total BAM to your blog! Sara
ReplyDeleteI Love this idea! Faux taxidermy is HARD, but I think it's a BAM in my book. Real taxidermy though? It's just ew to me!
ReplyDeleteBAM. It doesn't always work but those are all great examples!
ReplyDeleteSLAM (great idea by the way)...I grew up in a house with real taxidermy on the walls and I just can't get past that....
ReplyDeleteDon't care for the real thing. All the others are a bam for me.
ReplyDeleteBTW - I gave you an award on my blog today! http://ourfifthhouse.blogspot.com/2011/05/seven-random-things.html
Definitely BAM! It looks good in a space because it adds dimension.

BAM!! I just don't like the idea or any kind of animal head - real or fake - hanging on my walls.
ReplyDeleteNot necessarily my style, but I'm definitely going to have to give this decor piece a bam! Clever, fun, versatile, and a much better alternative to real animal heads!
