Tell Me Tuesday...Bam or Slam!

Last week's floral wallpaper got a big ol' BAM from you all!

I'm not surprised...are you?

This week, as I was scrolling through my pinterest account, I noticed a theme...
I had a TON of room inspirations with zebra rugs on the floor.

I had no idea I was such a fan, but there they were room after room....
so I wanted to get your opinion on them this week...

BAM
or SLAM!

BAM or SLAM?!

  1. i am totally against any animal hides being used as rugs or for anything for that matter, unless you are freezing cold and have no supplies and must kill to protect yourself and keep warm. BUT i do like zebra rugs that are just patterned wool or cotton! so not sure if i am a bam or slam- just depends on if you meant the hides or the patterns.

  2. BAM! I feel like we BAM every week on your BAM vs. SLAM. We just love it all!

  3. Definitely Bam! Although I think that Cassie makes a very good point.

I esp love the design of the third to last picture. The colors are masculine but there are a lot of feminine shapes... it's just great all around.

  4. I love them all the last room jumps out at me .

  5. I hate to do this but ...slam... I dont love this look and I think so many other carpets can add so much more to a room.

  6. I'm kind of neutral on this one but I'm going to have to go with SLAM. I'd probably lean more towards BAM with a zebra print but the whole dead zebra sprawled out on the floor doesn't do much for me.

  7. I'm a slam this week. I would never spend money on an animal print rug...the most I would ever use is perhaps a pillow. I actually have a really nice animal print fabric waiting to be used somewhere...They just don't convey the feel I'm going for...sometimes I'm not even sure what that is!

  8. I do not own anything animal-printed - it is not my style but that is a personal preference. When it comes to a rug, if a client desired one I would not have a problem, just not in my home. So from a personal standpoint it would be a slam!

  9. Even if it's faux, it's gross to depict the entire body shape of the dead animal. i love me some animal prints, but not that graphic. slam for me.

  10. This is a slam/bam for me. I LOVE animal print rugs, but they have to be included in a properly designed space. I don't think they go with everything. I am an animal lover, so I steer away from the ones that are shaped like animals. And faux is the only way I go!

  11. I think this has to be a slam for me. I am a huge animal lover and just don't like the idea of animal print rugs--faux or real.

  12. I am going with a Slam on this one. I think I'm too conservative with my style choices.

P.S. Check out my blog later! I gave you a blog award, Elizabeth!!!

  13. Like Cassie above, I would never use an animal print (or animal hide) rug, pillow, blanket, throw, blouse, shoes, purse, etc.

I've noticed they are EVERYWHERE now, though!

  14. I think it's trendy - so bam for 2011, but I wouldn't invest much into getting the look because next year it might be a slam!

  15. It's a Slam for me! I love hides... although I cry if I see road kill or even a Disney Documentary where the baby elephants get eaten!

  16. First time to your blog. I'll have to say SLAM on this. Not a fan of animal print, in general.

P.S. I found you on Amanda's Simple Girl. Simple Pleasures.

  17. Slam for real hides, BAM for the fake stuff :)

  18. Slam on this one for me. And I love this series - it's so fun!!

  19. Definite BAM for me!!! That add so much interest to a room...and that "pattern" will never go out of style!!

  20. BAM on the zebra rugs! Love them! And SUPER BAM on that massive white ceramic giraffe in the pink room! I need to find that ASAP!

  21. ETA: SLAM if it's a real animal hide, but a definite BAM if it's faux!

  22. I think in the right room it's a total BAM! It adds a different texture and feel to the room that's glam.

  23. I love the all white room with the large leaning mirror! BAM!

  24. definitely a BAM and what we need to remember is that the zebras are being killed anyway for other reasons so if the hides can be used it seems like less of a waste...I guess. either way I like the way they look

  25. I am flabbergasted that there are *any* slams on this one...I guess I'm not much of an animal lover as far as that goes, hey, at least they are going to good use!! Wouldn't it be much worse if they were sitting, rotting on the plains instead of someone being able to enjoy their beauty? I dunno, I know *I* will probably get some slams for that one, but I'm married to a hunter so I have a different appreciation for animals! And how amazing do those rooms look with those bold statement rugs?!

  26. Hate to do it but, slam. I prefer a bold black and white chevron over a zebra rug any day.

  27. I say BAM on the zebra accents!! But my husband would probably say SLAM (sad face)!

    ReplyDelete
  28. I would say BAM! I love the whole zebra hide look, faux or real! :)

  29. Oh, it's a BAM for me...love the look and the statement they make in any room. My favorite is a zebra on top of a seagrass rug!!

  30. BAM! Love the pop of texture and the naturally graphic print =) But I'm all about the man-made kind over the real...SAVE THE ZEBRAS!!!
