BAM for maps!
Honestly, I think last week was the first week where we had almost a perfect BAM...only one SLAM...can you believe it!?
This week, let's talk poufs.

Tell Me, are you a fan?
BAM or SLAM?
I'm torn- I hated these up until a few months ago (they wore me down) when they started growing on me. Now I'm actually considering one for my new music room. I can't believe I'm saying this but Bam (but I'm not calling it a pouf- its a hassock!)
ReplyDeleteBam!
ReplyDeleteI have a silver leather one and love it ;)
Total BAM for me! On the hunt for one for my Mom Cave, in fact. Nothing like a well-placed pouf! ;-)

BAM! love me some poufs! and the word is fun to say which helps!
ReplyDeleteBAM! for poufs!!! They're like a grown-up version of the beanbag chair. How could that be bad?
ReplyDeleteBAM!! I love poufs. And so do my dogs--and they look MUCH better than a dog bed. ; )
ReplyDeleteBAM! I love the look, great as a footstool but not as a seat!
ReplyDeleteI may be a Debbie Downer here, but I am going to say SLAM. I just don't see how these are functional. They are really low to sit, not to mention you need some serious core strength to stay on them if you can sit on them. They kind of remind me of bean bag chairs - didn't like them either.
ReplyDeleteBAM! Kids love them, adults love them...and they can look so stylish!
ReplyDeleteBAM! They are great for Kids and even some adults. if you are the kind who love to just sack out on the floor if only you had something to lounge on, then these are for you! They add o bit of funness to a room, and invite relaxation.
ReplyDeleteBAM!!!
ReplyDeleteI am definitely a pouf lover !! Have one and love it ! BAM for me.

Honestly I could take em or leave em. I totally agree with Liz saying how uncomfortable they are. BUT to add a great pop of color to a room -they are a great choice. So I see them more as an accessory than a piece of furniture. And on a side note: HomeGoods has been stocking quite a few of these for a great price!
ReplyDeleteI'm going with a slam. They're a little two trendy for my taste, though I can appreciate how they provide a nice change in form and color for a space, and I do quite like them in all of these images. I just wouldn't buy one for my house.

Mean to write 'too', not 'two.'

I'm saying SLAM. Like Liz I don't think they are very functional. Does anyone ever sit in them? Though I would take that dog!
ReplyDeleteI'm gonna jump on the slam wagon... I do like them, in other peoples spaces. But it definitely wouldn't work in my home, and the high price tags on them don't work for me either!
ReplyDeleteI agree with all the SLAMmers out there. Cool pop of color but a gimmick. Really cannot sit on them for long. Better choices out there than a pouffy hassock.
ReplyDeleteSlam, except for that first light pink one... ;)

I am going to say Bam... BUT I don't think they are all that practical unless they are for kids or foot rests! I think they would add a small pop of color and interest but other than that... not much use for them!
ReplyDeleteBTW I love the new blog header! Can't wait to get mine going!

Bam. If they didn't have such a fun name I'd have to think harder.
ReplyDeleteSuh-lam. But what do I know? I know that I have way too many large kid toys on the floor and no room for a "poof." Plus, the prices are OUTRAGEOUS!
ReplyDeleteSorry Pouf-lovers--I just don't like them!
ReplyDeleteThey seem like something for children (a beanbag chair would be cheaper) or a college student. They just don't seem "grown-up." More "transitional" to me, and nothing I want to sit on or ask my guests to sit on : /

Most of the time they are so expensive, but I bought the ones that Target had earlier this year to use in my daughter's room. The $59 price made them bam for me! (I love the expensive ones too, though!)
ReplyDeleteBam! I think they are timeless...maybe because they remind me of an old leather octagon-shape ottoman in my grandma's basement :)
ReplyDeleteBam - they add a fun element to a room!
ReplyDeleteI think I'm in the minority, but I say Slam. I feel like they are kind of stumpy looking and not super-functional. I might just be tired of seeing them everywhere!
ReplyDeleteSlam... I've just never bought into it. They don't seem that functional. Every once in a while I see a room that they actually look great in!
ReplyDeleteI am a self professed pouf-lover!!! great post!!!
ReplyDeleteSlam...definitely overdone in the design world...and to be honest, I dont quite "get" them
ReplyDeleteI say Bam! Especially with a cute pug on them! :)
ReplyDeleteHehehe...I think I get the biggest kick out of reading what everyone else has to say about them...especially the slams (c: Isn't it kind of funny that I'm not in to reality TV??? I don't have strong feelings either way...I mostly like them for kids' rooms...the color choices are endless and they just look fun (c:
ReplyDeleteI can take them or leave them. I think they're just so overdone right now that I'm growing tired of seeing them.
ReplyDeleteAlbeit overdone, they are useful as a footrest and extra seating. So a maybe!!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't miss my dosage of bam/slam even on vacay:) I've been on a slam binge lately and this is another slam for me. I never took to these.
