BAM for chalkboard paint!
31 BAM'S last week and only 5 SLAM'S!
I picked up a few tips to share if you are planning a project using chalk board paint...
1. make sure your surface is smooth, it is not a good product to use on textured walls.
2. If you're worried about dust from the chalk, try chalkboard pens.
3. It is easy to paint over, simply prime and paint as you would over any dark color.

another bam for me! love the modern feel, and airiness it provides! and i love that it doesn't break as easily as glass. ;)
ReplyDeleteI have to say slam on this. I know, I know. I just think it will go out of style quickly. Definitely a fad piece!

BAM! I love that it doesn't take up a lot of visual space, but I agree with Sadie and Stella that it is a big trend right now and will probably go out of style. I would still buy some lucite chairs, even if they are trendy, I love them.
ReplyDeleteBAM for me, but I would only use it in small doses. I'm not a huge trend follower in design, but I do love the love of lucite and I think mixing it with some traditional pieces is a great look.
ReplyDeleteBAM! I like it but I dont have the home for it! I think they are beautiful pieces.
ReplyDeleteThis is a BAM for me! Especially when used sparingly and in combination with more traditional furnishings. Always on the hunt for the perfect piece!

I'm on the fence. I love those bar stools, but all I can think about is a million tiny fingerprints.
ReplyDeleteBAM...since the old David Bromstad show when he filmed in San Francisco and he used one of those ghost chairs. Love it all.
ReplyDeleteI CANNOT slam lucite - BAM for me! LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteI do not have any lucite nor have I had to use any for clients yet although I have considered the ghost chair. I would say bam with limitations!
ReplyDeleteBam. It's trendy but still works well in traditional spaces.
ReplyDeleteI love lucite! Bam for me. I've never used it in my home, but I always love the look when I see it.
ReplyDeleteIt would have to be a bam for me. I love the feel of it.
ReplyDeleteBAM! Love it!
ReplyDeleteBAM for me! I especially love it in small rooms since it takes up no visual space! But I definitely agree that it's a fad and I'm sure it will be "out" in a few years!

pretty sure this will be 100% BAM!
ReplyDeleteNot even a question. In fact, I'm not even going to actually verbalize my answer because I feel like it doesn't even need to be spoken, so deep is my love and obsession with this medium (c; Fantastic...and I don't care if people think it's trendy...EVERYTHING comes and goes, it will be back again and again!

love, love, love me some lucite...I say BAM
ReplyDeleteBam, if used sparingly.
ReplyDeleteLove love one piece of lucite in a room. I like the fact that it does not take up any visual space and yet it gives a certain flare to a room. I think it is a classic!! I would love a set of nest tables in lucite so pretty and functional,
ReplyDeleteKathysue
I'm slamming this one. I think it looks neat but it is just too space agey and modern for me.
ReplyDeleteBAM! How could anyone slam Lucite? It's divine.
ReplyDeleteabby
BAM for sure....it looks so clean, and your examples are perfect!
ReplyDeleteBAM! I absolutely love it and I love that image of the dinette with the chair cushions - so so pretty! Probably won't ever have any in my own home but I love it and think it's so sleek and pretty.
ReplyDeleteBAM! I love how it can add that little bit of modern, and sparkle mixed into any room. I love it so much I have lucite dinning chairs mixed with my grandmothers claw foot antique dining table...

Bam times 1000! I have a tray on our coffee table to hold mags!
ReplyDeleteI give it a BAM when used in small doses. The first entry image has been in my inspiration folder for the longes time. I LOVE it so!
ReplyDeleteIs this even a question? BAM all the way! I think it's timeless when used in accessories like trays or hardware and I love ghost chairs and stools I'm seeing. Love lucite!
ReplyDeleteBam, bam, bam!
ReplyDeleteserious BAM. i recently picked up a lucite coffee table and a couple of side tables. i'm in a small space, so it helps create convenient surfaces without the visual clutter. i LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteBam! Lucite is sexy...love that it is see-through and lets light permeate...love it in the living room, dining room, entry, office, bedroom...wherever!
ReplyDeleteJoanne
BAM! Lucite doesn't take much visual space and it goes with every style and every room! I have a beautiful lucite coffee table from CB2. It's great piece especially if you don't want your pretty rug hidden underneath it!
