BAM FOR LUCITE!
This week, we're talking LAVENDER.
The color purple is created when you combine the stimulating color of red and the calming color of blue..in some this creates a feeling of unrest or uneasiness.
However, it is often known to be uplifting, calm the nerves and promote creativity.
Lavender is the softer feminine side of purple, are you a fan?

I adore pops of vibrant purple (heck, my home office is painted purple and i love it and will never change it!), but the lavendar in decor is a slam for me, and this is a recent conclusion. Just doesn't cut the mustard. ;-)

I think lavender is so pretty. I loved that pillow on last month's traditional home cover. Bam!
ReplyDeleteI like the softer cooler hints of lavender. The curtains are gorgeous, the bedroom wall colors, too. Not sure about the poufs on their own but they work in the living room against the rug. I would go with bam.
ReplyDeleteI say BAM for lucite and BAM for lavender. I have lucite stools so I am of course going to say they are just cool:) I do like the lavender in small doses.
ReplyDeleteBA BA BAM! Lavender is so beautiful. I love it on walls or as an accent color!
ReplyDeleteLove lavendar! Especially just a very small hint in a bedroom or powder room. Not sure how I feel about lucite.
ReplyDeleteLoving it in measured doses. When my daughter wanted her walls painted lavender when we moved I had to say no, but she loved the lavender bedding and floor pillows we chose as a compromise.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a BAM for me! I've been trying to inject some in my house somewhere - I'm thinking about daughter's room!
ReplyDeletei like it, but i woudn't say bam. just definitely not a slam. the current cover of country living has the most beautiful shade!
ReplyDeleteSince we can't sit on the fence I say BAM, although I'm not sure I'd put it in my own house. I would definately use plum or eggplant colours though - I just have a thing for bold colours. Beautiful colour for traditional or feminine spaces though, without using girly pink.
ReplyDeleteBam for lucite - no doubt about it!! Lavender is on the fence for me (neither bam nor slam) - I like it small doses!!
ReplyDeleteI never thought I'd say this, but a big ol' BAM for lavender, though I'm not 100% sure I could use it in my space. Beautiful in the inspiration photos, though!
ReplyDeleteI am sitting in my purple (eggplant) chair, with my feet resting on a purple and gray rug.
ReplyDeleteSo I'm a fan! :-)
It is a really pretty and soothing color. Used to be the color of my room growing up ! Dont know if I would choose it now but do like it..especially in the second photo !!

I think lavender is a beautiful color. Very soothing and it calms the nerves, like you said. Definitely a BAM for me! Gorgeous inspirations.

Love this color...I've loved it ever since my little sis painted her bathroom a punchy lavender and I was jealous (c: I think that would be a bam for me
ReplyDeletewhile it is pretty, not my favorite so since there is no in-between I will have to slam it
ReplyDeleteoh purrr..BAM!
ReplyDeleteI'll have to go with BAM. I'm on the fence but like it more than I don't. I don't love it though.
ReplyDeleteLove lucite but not so much a lavendar gal :)
ReplyDeleteBam for me - especially paired with some black to make it less girly.
ReplyDeleteYou know it is funny, I love to look at rooms with lavender used in them, but I can not live with it in my own home. I love it in my flowers and even in my clothing, just not in my own personal home. I will say I always take a pause and study a room done in lavender so it is not that I don't like the color, I just can't live with it, personally. I just helped a client do her office based on lavender and aqua and white. Kathysue
ReplyDeleteLike the new design! I say yes to lucite and lavender... maybe together. ha!
ReplyDeleteBam. Maybe it's because growing up my room was lavender, but I love it.
ReplyDeletebam! I also love the smell of lavender...I like lavender as an interior colour but I may have a hard time convincing my hubby for it.
ReplyDeleteI have to say bam although besides my daughter's room I'm not sure I could really use it for decorating. Still a bam though:)
ReplyDeleteOh a BAM for sure... love lavender!
ReplyDeleteBAM! Lavendar was the color of my bedroom for a very long time.
ReplyDeleteI say bam but it could be a slam if it's not done right. I think it's a really tricky color to work with -all the images above are definite bams!
