A White Kitchen
with subway tile and open shelving
I'm sure I'll have to keep the black and white tile...but I can work with it.
I think this may have to be the next project I tackle in the house.
But I'm not going to lie...it has me shaking in my boots.
Finishing it by October 7th would be ideal, so I could link it up to the Roomspiration blog hop and link party.

What do you think bedroom or kitchen next?

However, I am also thinking that it might be to freshen up the bedroom
with some new paint and accessories...

I think either way, I'm ready for a lighter look...

The kitchen is a bigger undertaking but either way I cant wait to see what you come up with!

id say brighten the bedroom! :)
ReplyDeletei just wrote "my dream home" post for saved by suzy yesterday, and i too, want my next kitchen to be light and bright and happy. the bedroom, too for that mattet! and the kitchen is a big undertaking, but it will so be worth it. i can't wait to see what you do!
ReplyDeleteI have never had a new kitchen. We've lived in 2 houses. I made cosmetic changes to both but never anyting big. It's a dream of mine to design my own kitchen. I can see it in my head...everything perfect. I say go for the kitchen. Your timeline might be a bit tight though! Wish I could pop in and help you.
ReplyDeleteNothing like a party to make you get stuff done around the house, am I right? Whichever one you will absolutely do regardless, save for later. (probably the opposite of how most people work, but that's how I roll!)
ReplyDeleteGosh, I'm all over the kitchen! Ever since I saw Sasha Seymour's kitchen in CHH, I want subway tile, open shelving and brass hardware!! Love your inspiration pics!!
ReplyDeleteI want you to do the kitchen because that's MY next project! I've had the supplies to do it for the last month, but I'm nervous about it! The project after that is the bedroom...
ReplyDeleteLove love love the subway tile & the open shelves!
ReplyDeleteKitchen! Kitchen! Kitchen! I love freshening up the bedroom, but the majority of my time spent at home is in the kitchen :)
ReplyDeleteI've been promising myself I'd get to the kitchen next but the idea of painting all the cabinetry makes me queasy. But the kitchen is where you will probably spend more time so I say Kitchen!
ReplyDeleteI say the Kitchen, it is the hub of the home and you will be in there much more than your bedroom. Cozy for winter is nice so maybe in teh Spring for your bedroom. Go for it!!! Love the direction you are going, Kathysue
ReplyDeleteThe kitchen! Looks like we are thinking alike...I'm anxious to do my kitchen as well with white, subway tile and open shelving. Your existing kitchen is really cute though.
ReplyDeleteElizabeth, your bedroom looks great, I think all you need to get a "new" feel in that room is a lighter paint color, so paint the walls! It will energize you and help kick start the kitchen re-do. that way you will have one done for the link party and can relax and do your kitchen!
ReplyDeleteMmmm...that's tough. I think I'd say bedroom just because I'm working on ours, but I agree with Kathysue you'll be in your kitchen more and can enjoy it more. It is a big undertaking but we've seen you work your magic before and you will work wonders.
ReplyDeleteOur bedrooms look very similar. :) Kitchens are definitely more of a gathering space, I'd say Kitchen.

Go for the kitchen!! I'm on a subway tile obsession myself... not anytime soon for me unfortunately, so I want to live vicariously through you. ;-)

Kitchen definitely! It will be worth your while and can't wait to see it. :)
ReplyDeleteI am thinking go for the kitchen! Haha--maybe you just inspired me with those beautiful photos of the subway tile, etc..but Kitchen is on the brain. Both rooms look great now--so either way you can't go wrong. Can't wait to see what you decide!
ReplyDeleteyour kitchen has some great bones - I'd love to see what you do in there...
