Big OL' BAM for global last week!
The majority of you agreed that you like the eclectic look of going global.

As I was reading through the October issue, of Elle Decor, I ran across an interesting trend in home design, one that I had not noticed...SNAKESKIN.
Have you noticed this trend yet? How do you feel about adding a little snakeskin to your decor? It is showing up on rugs, wallcoverings, plates, lamps, benches...everywhere.

BAM or SLAM!?
Are you a fan?
BAM or SLAM!?
I was just thinking about this last night as I thumbed through my issue!! A qualified BAM for me-- in small doses, it's a very cool element.
ReplyDeleteHappy Tuesday!!
I had not noticed this new trend and now that you have pointed it out, I say SLAM! I am not a fan of snakeskin and not sure why.
ReplyDeleteSlam for me too - don't much like it!
ReplyDeleteslam for me too...not a fan :)
ReplyDeleteSlam...I think it makes me feel creepy.
ReplyDeleteI feel like such a bore with all of my slam's but ugh, gives me the creeps - SLAM for snakeskin.
ReplyDeleteSLAM for snakeskin!
ReplyDeleteEverything in moderation, so I BAM to a hint of snakeskin (in, say, the form of a decorative tray).
ReplyDeleteBAM to a tray, SLAM anything more!
ReplyDeleteI like it, but when the colour is subtle, more of a tone on tone, so it's a textural look...BAM - x
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with Ashely- in moderation- like VERY moderate. or your room will end up looking like Sneaky Petes Parlor and the big harry biker dudes will want to come hang out (where do i come up w/ this stuff?) I need more caffeine!
ReplyDeleteslam for me- it reminds me of old ladies trying to act chic.... you know with fake blonde hair, tight paints, and loads of wrinkles. oh and hot pink lipstick.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to pass on this trend. It creeps me out just a bit. Ok, it creeps me out a lot!
ReplyDeleteSnakes are so creepy to me...I definitely don't want to be surrounded by their skin. Maybe in just a teeny, tiny little dose (picture frame maybe?). Slam.
ReplyDeleteBig ol' sloppy wet kiss *BAM* on this one...just got myself a pair of snake print heels (with red trim no less!) and I am so in love...oh, and it's pretty fab for house stuff too...(c: hehehe...
ReplyDeleteBAM! I think it's one more cool texture! The rug is way too much and maybe I like it because they don't creep me out. We have a cute guy (Sunny)who lives in our garden and suns himself on our big rock. :)
ReplyDeleteLet's just stick to snakeskin shoes---no thanks to the rest for me. S-l-a-m. Eeeeeeeeh.
ReplyDeleteCatherine
Slam for sure. I hate snakes...hate them, even on furniture.
ReplyDeleteI look at it and think, "Ahh! It's a snake!" Big ol' no bueno from me! {Sssss Lam)
ReplyDeleteI'm still loving last weeks look and have been in search of a Suzani piece of fabric ever since...found one, but it was $750... But the snake skin stuff...I really don't like snakes so i don't think I could embrace having it around my house.
ReplyDeleteSays cowboy to me. SLAM-O. No thank you.
ReplyDeleteTotal slam!
ReplyDeletenot a fan! but you are right! it is everywhere!! great post E!
ReplyDeleteEeeeew.....I find them so distasteful! Blech! Slam! But BAM OR SLAM - total Bam!
ReplyDeleteBam! I have noticed/bought snakeskin in fashion (fake snake/real leather Cole Hahn purse). I love the first photo.
ReplyDeleteBAM on my Coach Python pumps.
ReplyDeleteBut....slam in the home decor. I don't know why, but I'm not loving it.
This is a slam personally...I feel creeped out!
ReplyDeleteI'll say bam in very small doses.
