I wish I did, Nate Berkus' Chicago home is for sale....and it is gorgeous!

I love the warm neutral browns and blacks throughout with small pops of color and the masculine feel...but my favorite part of this home are the BATHROOMS.

I am so in love with the gray subway title, warm traditional mirror and glossy black doors.

In this bathroom, I am crazy over the white subway tile tiled to the ceiling, and the gorgeous black tub and mahogany armoire. This bathroom is a gorgeous example of high contrast design.



I'm not sure how much he is selling it for, but I am pretty sure it is a little out of my budget :)...so I'll keep dreaming.

My Name is Elizabeth, and welcome to The Mustard Ceiling.

This blog is dedicated to my obsession of interior design and do-it yourself projects.

I was destined to DIY. As the daughter of a realtor and a conic renovator, I grew up surrounded with sawdust and paint brushes. Yet, this is not where I learned my amazing DIY skills However, it did fuel my love of interior design and recognized my calling at 13.

I graduated from The University of Charleston with a degree in Interior Design and have worked in design firms in WV and CO.

In 2008, I married my partner and discovered how our individual skills (my vision, his building) came together and made for a dynamite combination . Together we are tackling the renovation of our first home, learning and succeeding, and sometimes failing along the way.


But, just as we started to see the light at the end of the renovation tunnel, we discovered a 1968 Airstream Trailer that needed a little attention, and have diligently working on this in our free time.

I love interior design, making things beautiful on a budget, traveling, renovation, being outside and of course my wonderful husband and our 2 crazy pooches, Jack and Gracie.
