Easy, Sweet, Healthy Snack Recipe

I am having a sugar attack! I have been on a sugar bender since my birthday (January 8), when Alfred made tasty white cupcakes with chocolate icing and sprinkles. He made 24 cupcakes for two people...so for days we gorged ourselves on cupcakes. They were delicious! Now I cannot get enough sugar, so today I decided to take the healthy route.

I made Cinnamon Sugar Baked Apple Chips. I wanted to share this simple, sweet recipe thinking maybe someone else out there has a major sweet tooth. It's really easy (well at least the recipe is, controlling a sweet tooth...that's another blog post).

I halved the recipe (the full recipe is below)

1 Tbsp. ground cinnamon
2 Tbsp. sugar
4 Granny Smith (or any tart) apples

Preheat the oven to 250. In a bowl mix cinnamon and sugar. Next, cut apples into thin slices and toss them with the cinnamon and sugar mixture

Line your baking pan with parchment paper and place apples in a single layer on a baking pan
( I used two pans). Place apples in the oven for approximately 2 hours, or until just crisp.

Enjoy! Piece of cake or hopefully it will sooth the craving like a piece of cake.
