2011's Pantone Color of the Year....Honeysuckle Pink!
This color is bright and bold, the extreme opposite of the 2010 color Turquoise, which is soothing and calm.
After escaping 2010 with the tranquility of turquoise, we are ready to fight back our everyday troubles and Honeysuckle pink is bold enough to encourage us.
The color is dynamic, uplifting, and refreshing....giving us the determination to meet the everyday challenges of life and the economy, it will lift help our spirits.
Honeysuckle will be everywhere this year, interiors, fashion, wedding apparel, even on your Visa card if you so please (see www.pantone.com/visacard).
When I first heard the news and saw the paint swatch, I’m not going to lie, I was not impressed. It is bright, in your face....definitely not a color I would paint a room in my home.
However, after viewing these images.....I think the color might be starting to grow on me.

ReplyDeleteI was skeptical when you mentioned the pink kitchen but you are right, it doesn't look bad at all. BTW LOVE your blog, its exactly like the designer blogs I like to follow. Also your before and after house pics are great!
