New Project in Progress...

Remember last weekend, when I told you I planning a new project using my Olive Leaf Stencil? If not, click here to catch up.

I have decided it is finally time to tackle...our laundry room!

I have been inspired by all of these gorgeous laundry rooms lately

I am not going to lie, ours is an absolute DISASTER!

It has not been painted, I think, since the 1950's when the house was built.

It still has the original linoleum flooring, which is peeling.

But of course, when we moved in, the laundry room was in no way shape or form the top priority.

So it is official...I have started the make over and it is coming along....slowly.

Inspiration for the makeover...

This is where we started...

The progress is slow but steady, I would love to have it finished by Tuesday
to show you Wednesday, no promises.

I will keep you posted!

I am excited to say, this month most of my time has been devoted to blog design and e-design projects. I just finished installing a new blog design for Amanda this morning.

She has an etsy shop 401s, where she sells handmade jewelry and accessories
and wanted a fresh new look for her blog.

Head on over and check her out!

I hope you enjoy the remainder of your weekend, show some extra love to the father's in your lives today. I wish I could celebrate with mine. When I spoke to him he was on the ladder working on a new house project (like father like daughter :)).

  2. Oh my!!! This is going be really good...can't wait to see your final reveal. And you had some nice structure in there to begin with - were those existing shelves there when you moved in? I'd love to have some shelving like that. Nice work so far.

  4. Oh my gosh it's fantastic...can't wait to see what is next. Believe me I am not in a position to judge anyone on their laundry room. Mine is in my basement, unfinished ceiling and cement floor. I share it with lots of spiders and everything in our house we don't know what to do with. Looking forward to the final reveal!

  8. Looks great Elizabeth! I don't think your laundry is so bad. I love the shelves. That stencil is great since it looks so much like a wall paper. Are you going to tile the floor or put down something else?

  9. I would love to have even your original laundry room, and the finished one will be amazing I'm sure. My laundry is under our old house so it's full of pipes, concrete floors, bare floorboards for a ceiling and boarded up windows at this stage! You definately made the right choice with the stencil design - looks great!

  10. You're off to a great start. Is stenciling an allover pattern hard? I want to try it myself but fear I'll botch it. How do you keep the pattern level vertically and horizontally? Hope you give us the scoop!

  15. It looks great! I've been fretting over our laundry room lately too. If it makes you feel any better ours has spackled drywall, no trim and absolutely no permanent storage... and our washer and dryer don't match either. :) Can't wait to see this finished!

  21. I cannot wait! Love how it's looking. I have had a stencil for the laundry room on my list for months. Has it been hard?! My laundry room is pretty big with a 20 ft long wall... so... yeah... don't want to bite off more than I can chew necessarily.

  23. I have that same picture (source #2) in my house idea book. I love that for a laundry room or mud room. So much light.

Great job on your laundry room. Very nice.
